Hey y’all…it really is fall! It’s that time of year to start wearing layers with sweaters, jackets, scarves, and jewelry. So, let’s talk about ways to layer some of the latest trends.
My favorite fall trend is a checked or plaid blazer layered over an oversized turtleneck worn with jeans. My stylist tip is this: half-tuck your sweater in front and leave the back loose to cover your “assets.”
Another trendy sweater style is definitely one with statement sleeves. Bell sleeves are so stylish and match perfectly with slacks or a pleated skirt…ideal for a holiday party. BTW…Eileen Fisher has some beautiful options! How fabulous does that sound?
Scarves not only complete an outfit but are a layering necessity when it gets cold out. To update your “scarf style” a bit, think about belting a large blanket scarf. A look I love is a long rectangular scarf draped over one shoulder. Sounds sophisticated…right?
Layering jewelry is totally a thing this season! I am major crushing on coin jewelry, and the more you wear… the better. An initial necklace is super trendy. So, here’s a little stylist secret…go to Amazon Fashion to find fashionable and inexpensive options.
The best part about layering is it’s also ideal for the holiday party season. Layering a monochromatic ensemble…pants, blouse, and jacket is classic and so flattering. To give your minimalistic style a pop, continue layering with a statement necklace. One of my favorite places for unique jewelry is Akola, in Snider Plaza.
Wow…it’s starting to sound like you are ready for party season with a stylish new twist!
