So Dallas ladies….when was the last time you took a fun day trip to Fort Worth? We think you will love visiting the Shops at Clearfork, a new upscale shopping center in southwest Fort Worth. The good news is….it’s just a train ride away. When you arrive at Fort Worth’s train depot, just take a LYFT to Clearfork. How easy is that?
We suggest you have your LYFT driver drop you off at Stanley Eisenman’s Shoes, a family owned business that’s been a Fort Worth institution for more than 65 years. From classic styles to the latest trends, they are famous for their inventory of hard to find shoe sizes.
For our FYI50+ readers…when you visit the store in February, you will receive a $50 voucher toward any new pair of shoes. Be sure to mention you are Day Trippin’ from Dallas to receive the discount! Not only does Stanley’s have a great selection of women’s and men’s shoes, but also beautiful jewelry. I’m major crushing on pieces made from vintage Chanel jewelry designed by native Texan, Catherine Page.
You will also want to stop by Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams home furnishings. Their store manager, Chad, was gracious to host our “shoe” photo shoot. A brass Filmore bookcase spotlights shoes from Stanley’s. From their beautiful furniture and rugs to accessories, this fabulous home furnishing store brings a sophisticated vibe to Fort Worth.
Another Clearfork store that’s geared towards ski vacations and outdoor adventures is Climate. I’m loving a white fleece-lined prAna coat…perfect for now and early spring. And their selection of ski apparel by Bogner will definitely make you want to book a spring break vacay to the Rockies!
There are 12 restaurants to choose from, but since you’re trippin’….why not have lunch at Pinstripes? Yep, at the bowling alley! If you plan to bowl, you will want to be sure to wear an outfit that complements your bowling shoes.
I have a crush on a pair of Sanctuary camo jeans and white turtleneck from Stanley’s. And after you bowl, a pair of Pedro Garcia woven flats will complete the ensemble. A totally-trippin’ look! Pinstripes
After bowling, you may want to catch a flick at AMC Clearfork. And FYI….the seats not only recline but are also heated!
Before heading back to Big-D, be sure to stop by Doc-B’s for happy hour. Sit at the bar, and enjoy a delicious martini.
Wow…who knew a day trip to Fort Worth could be so hip and stylish?!?!
