After spending time gardening in the sun, take a few minutes for a little self-care. This Cucumber & Chamomile Facial Cleanser is perfect for delicate and sensitive skin, with a combination of natural astringents that are oh-so soothing.
Cucumber & Chamomile Facial Cleanser
2 tablespoons fresh cucumber juice (puree in food processor or blender, and strain the liquid portion)
1 bag of chamomile tea
1 cup distilled water
1 tablespoon glycerin (can substitute for honey)
1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
Make a strong infusion of chamomile and water, then allow to cool. If using chamomile flowers or loose chamomile tea, strain your infusion.
Mix the chamomile infusion, cucumber juice, glycerin, and aloe.
Using a cotton ball, soak up some of your cleanser and gently apply to face and neck.
Repeat if you like.
Rinse with cool water, and apply your favorite moisturizer.
Store any remaining cleanser in the refrigerator and apply within three days.
