Two local restaurants with multiple locations around Dallas-Fort Worth offer delicious meal options and fun opportunities to dine with your dog. There’s also a new dessert eatery where you and your furry friend can enjoy a sweet treat!
Offering a variety of delicious desserts for the family or special occasions, Flower Mound’s AshJenn Signature Desserts will celebrate its Grand Opening in early May. When owner Sharmon Walters lost her oldest daughter unexpectedly in 2013, she instantly realized that “life is too short not to follow your dreams.” The bakery, AshJenn, is named for her two daughters, Ashley and Jennifer.
Order a coffee and choose from a selection of cupcakes, cookies, or pies. Indulge in individual cheesecakes, marbled brownies, chocolate cookie mousse, banana pudding, and so much more. Full-size cakes and pies are also available to order. AshJenn offers unique doggie desserts, too. Your furry friend will love the Peanut Butter Banana cookie and the Oats, Carrots, Apples, and Pumpkin Pupcake. YUM!
Lazy Dog offers menu items to satisfy both you and your hungry pup. Humans can order TV dinners for takeout, made in-house and replete with retro-style trays. Meals like chicken parmesan, BBQ bison meatloaf, or cheese enchiladas are ready to pop into the oven whenever you’re hungry. There is a wide variety of offerings, including gluten-sensitive meals.
Dogs have their own menu and, when dining in, are served in the patio dining area. They get a complimentary bowl of water and, for meals, their human counterparts can order bowls of nutritious meals better than anything they’d get from kibble. There are patio behavioral rules for dogs, as well as special memberships, treats, and toys. Lazy Dog has five locations in the DFW area.
If you’ve ever dreamed of sipping a margarita while your dog frolics in the park, then Mutts Canine Cantina is the place for you!
This upscale dog park doubles as a fun eatery. Memberships are available, but a day pass is enough for you and your pooch to enjoy “Yappy Hour,” with cheap drinks and cheaper dog treats, each weekday until 6 PM.
Membership does come with perks, including unlimited visits, attendants to provide water and clean-up, early access to events and promotions, and partner discounts.
Plenty of human food is available if you’re hungry, from chicken sandwiches and burgers to snacks like fries, popcorn, or fried pickles.
Your puppy will enjoy such treats as pupsicles, frozen peanut butter, beef broth sticks, and bite-size beef franks.
Mutts has two locations in DFW, with a third opening in Allen later this year.
So if you and your BFF are looking for a dining experience like no other, look no further than these pooch-friendly eateries.
