MICHELANGELO’S SISTINE CHAPEL —  THE EXHIBITION

Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel – The Exhibition recreates one of the world’s greatest artistic achievements: Michelangelo’s famous ceiling frescoes from the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel, reproduced and displayed in their original size. This innovative interpretation of the timeless masterpieces is brought to life using a unique printing technique emulating the look and feel of the original paintings. Engage with the artwork by seeing every detail, brushstroke, and color of the artist’s 34 frescoes.

FRIDA: IMMERSIVE DREAM

Explore the world through the eyes of Frida Kahlo, a brilliant painter who created some of history’s most awe-inspiring artwork. See the artist’s work come to life with large-scale projections accompanied by a musical score. Discover the people, events, and obstacles that made Kahlo the extraordinary woman she was. The exhibition uses state-of-the-art technology to provide a 360-degree experience inside Kahlo’s artwork’s colorful and vibrant world.

ELTON JOHN IN CONCERT

After a half century on the on the road with an unapparelled career that redefined the cultural landscape and inspired Nathan Chen to win Olympic gold, Elton John is coming to Dallas as part of his final “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour. The new stage tour will take you on a journey spanning his 50 years of hits.

DANCING BEYOND BORDERS — NORTH

Dallas Black Dance Theatre

DBDT: Encore! dancers appear to levitate across the stage as they perform Opaque, a mysterious and majestic work choreographed by Nycole Ray. Also revel in Nineteenth, another Ray showpiece, wherein the dancers portray a historic tug-of-war for power. Each performance is unique and awe-inspiring.

TEXAS FOREVER FEST

DEEP ELLUM ARTS FESTIVAL

This annual festival features 100 musicians and performance artists representing a variety of genres. Boy band supergroup ATCK (All the Cool Kids), with members of Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and 98 Degrees, will perform. Visit booths with decorative arts, sculptors, muralists, jewelers, painters, and leather and wood crafters, as well as other specialized fine artists. Food and drink abounds.

ARTS IN BLOOM

Take a drive to Historic Downtown McKinney for Arts in Bloom. The streets will come alive with fascinating sights and sounds as artists, performers, musicians, Texas wineries, and food vendors take part in the three-day celebration. There’s also a hands-on interactive area for children, where young Picassos can learn about art processes and create their own masterpieces.

LATINO STREET FEST
