Allen Senior Recreation Center is for persons 50 years of age and older. The center offers a variety of programs, trips, special events, activities and classes at low-cost or free. Avoid crowded gyms by utilizing their fully-furnished fitness room. Other amenities include computers, billiards, ping pong tables and a library. Lunch is served daily. Membership to the center is only $5 a year for residents and $24 a year for non-residents.

The Hurst Senior Activities Center features a 2,500 square foot fitness room complete with elliptical machines, treadmills and a circuit series. In addition to the fitness room, the café is a great place to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee, pastries, and conversation. The game room is perfect for playing bridge, pinochle, and dominoes, just to name a few. The multipurpose room hosts a large, wood dance floor and seating for over 300 guests. A wide array of programs including Bingo, two dances a month, a variety of instructor lead and DVD exercise classes as well as a monthly “Movies and Munchies” program where you can sit back and enjoy a recently released movie with a wonderful snack! Attempts to keep the Plano Senior Recreation Center open during the expansion have met with unexpected challenges. Due to safety concerns, the facility will remain closed until the project is complete.
