Enjoy this DIY Cucumber & Chamomile Cleanser

After spending time gardening in the sun, take a few minutes for a little self-care.

This Cucumber & Chamomile Facial Cleanser is perfect for delicate and sensitive skin, with a combination of natural astringents that are oh-so soothing.

Cucumber & Chamomile Facial Cleanser

  • 2 tablespoons fresh cucumber juice (puree in food processor or blender, and strain the liquid portion)
  • 1 bag of chamomile tea
  • 1 cup distilled water
  • 1 tablespoon glycerin (can substitute for honey)
  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
  • Cotton balls

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Make a strong infusion of chamomile and water, then allow to cool. If using chamomile flowers or loose chamomile tea, strain your infusion.
  • Mix the chamomile infusion, cucumber juice, glycerin, and aloe.

 

TO USE:

  • Using a cotton ball, soak up some of your cleanser and gently apply to face and neck.
  • Repeat if you like.
  • Rinse with cool water, and apply your favorite moisturizer. 
  • Store any remaining cleanser in the refrigerator and apply within three days.
