Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival is a giant party and a beloved tradition with 100 floats, bands, and revelers. With little in the way of parking, get into the fun— by taking DART’s Red, Blue, or Orange line to the SMU/Mockingbird Station. Still unsure? Just look for all the people dressed in green. The parade travels south along Greenville from Blackwell St. to SMU Blvd. Afterward, check out all the vendors and exhibitors.

Dog Days at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens is the perfect weekend to spend time with your furry friend! Stroll through beautiful foliage and snap pictures of you and your buddy enjoying the day together. Check out a photography pass to document your day. The Garden asks for doggie etiquette— Keep your dogs, four months and older, on a leash. | Be sure they are up to date on their vaccines. | Waste must be bagged and placed in trash receptacles. Tulipalooza is a spring festival and fundraiser for the whole family. Take the short drive to celebrate the natural beauty of tulips while growing hope in the community during this 10-day festival. Experience 250,000 blooming tulips imported from Holland and planted by Dutch farmers. There’s a unique you-pick-em field to bring colorful tulips home. But there’s more — Enjoy live music, local vendors, food trucks— all while helping to raise funds for 12 leading North Texas charities.

Cowtown Goes Green is Fort Worth’s largest and most family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the Stockyards National Historic District. Enjoy this annual community-wide celebration of Irish culture with a western twist featuring armadillo races, lawn games, pony rides, old-west gunfight shows, cloggers, and dance troops. At 11:30 am and 4:30 pm, watch the cattle drive along historic Exchange Ave. At 1:30 pm, experience a Stockyards Championship Rodeo, and at 4 pm, have fun at an authentic western parade. Make sure to come dressed in green, and don’t miss all the rodeo action inside Cowtown Coliseum.

John Wayne: An America Experience, presents an intimate look at the life and legend of John Wayne. This exciting exhibit is hosting book signings by John Wayne’s youngest daughter, Marisa Wayne, and his eldest grandchild, Anita LaCava Swift to coincide with Cowtown Goes Green, the St. Patrick’s-themed celebration and parade in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.
The event will also feature:

  • A Duke Spirits tasting for guests 21 and older.
  • The Quiet Man, which was filmed in Ireland, displayed on the screen inside John Wayne Stock & Supply, the flagship retail store located adjacent to the museum.
  • Free samples of “The Quiet Man Irish Coffee,” featuring Duke Spirits and John Wayne Gold Handle Coffee, for guests 21 and older.

Irving St. Patrick’s Run is one of the Irving Marathon’s most popular running event occurs on scenic routes through Las Colinas and surrounding areas. There are distances for all fitness levels. The races begin and end at the Toyota Music Factory. After the run, stick around for a proper St. Paddy’s party. Walkers are welcome at this fun and festive event. Be sure to wear your favorite green outfit!
